Tribe is a celebration of the beauty in diversity while acknowledging our common quest for excellence and belonging. Inspired by the need to preserve cultural roots and also harness contemporary lifestyles, The Village Market settled on the village theme. This African village theme was defined by a togetherness and communal lifestyle which held the seams of the society together.
The hotel offers modern facilities and personal services including wireless internet access, a business center and meeting rooms, a wellness spa, individualized travel services and a well-versed concierge. The design is HIP and chic, with an emphasis on luxury and design elements. Rooms feature large LCD TVs, high-speed internet connectivity, open-plan bathrooms with high pressure showers, mood lighting and floor to ceiling mirrors.
The Village Market is East Africa’s largest all in one concept shopping centre and boasts a water park , mini golf courses, 12 bowling lanes, 4 Nu Metro theatres, a modern health club, children’s playground and activities, as well as an international food court. Every Friday, the Village Market hosts the city’s largest covered crafts market aptly named the Maasai Market with over 350 craftsmen and artisans displaying their work for locals and visitors alike.

Honeymooners are given roses, Champagne and chocolate-coated strawberries on arrival. The standard of service is superb, with plenty of personal touches. Epic restaurant serves simple Western fare (linguine, rib-eye steak, bangers and mash) made from local, organic ingredients. It is next to the pool, which has a waterfall, swim-up bar and several small islands for dining (there is also a private dining room for larger parties); cocktails are served on the rooftop terrace. The gym and spa were not open at the time of our visit but should be completed soon.
